The Dynamos Cricket app, developed by the England and Wales Cricket Board, serves as an engaging digital platform designed to introduce children aged 8 and above to the sport of cricket. It offers a range of features intended to enhance the user experience and promote active participation in the game.

Key functionalities include:

<li>Allowing young users to create a personalized profile</li>
<li>Enabling customization through team-themed options to reflect their favorite clubs</li>
<li>Supporting the scanning of Dynamos Topps cards to compile a digital collection</li>
<li>Providing Skills Challenges and Quizzes that reward experience points (XP) for progress</li>
<li>Including an arcade-style cricket mini-game that requires timing taps to hit balls, score runs, and avoid missing, thereby encouraging skill development and high-score achievements</li>
<li>Offering exclusive in-app rewards aimed at fostering cricket knowledge and proficiency</li>
</ul>

The app is freely available with no in-app purchases required. It operates within a secure environment, ensuring privacy by not requesting or storing personal data. The platform is not an open network, preventing external visibility or communication with users.

The Dynamos Cricket initiative is part of the ECB’s broader effort to motivate children aged 8 to 11 to engage with cricket, develop new skills, build friendships, and cultivate a lasting interest in the sport. It is suitable both for children transitioning from the All Stars Cricket programme for ages 5 to 8 and newcomers eager to explore cricket for the first time.
